Introduction
We are primarily Science teachers offering a study support service that goes a long way beyond just science tutoring.

The Module Club supports your learning by combining a series of 50 minute modules on each topic examined at G.C.S.E. with training days every 4 to 6 weeks together with workshops and training days. We aim to support the work you do at school or college.

Many of our members started last year by coming to one of our September courses - these 'set the scene', gave them an opportunity to meet some of our teachers and ask lots of questions.

Others simply phoned us for a chat (call Sue Muswell - 020 8959 3637.....)

The next step is to come and try out one of the modules - our membership fee includes a trial price module - our guarantee means that if you don't want to stay, we simply refund the membership element and that's the end of it.

Many students purchase 'pre pay' "Module Cards" which gives them flexibility and considerable savings. We are quite happy for you to buy modules one at a time, if you wish.

PS If you are a teacher considering an alternative to working full-time in school, please phone us for a chat - there's always room for really dynamic, enthusiastic subject specialists to GCSE, AS and A level!

How does it work ....
Modules - regular weekly sessions covering specific topics - you get the module summary, practice questions and the chance to sort out topics that you didn't quite understand in school.......

Workshops - 2 to 3 hours each, a quick summary of the topic, then loads of question practice, topic by topic. By the time you've done these, the examiners shouldn't be able to surprise you with anything!!

'Sit 'n' Study' - (check for availability and cost). Come and study/revise in a comfortable, relaxed but supervised atmosphere in the weeks leading up to June. A science teacher will be supervising the sessions and is GENERALLY available for the odd question....

One-to-one teaching - 30 or 60 minute slots are generally available for specific issues.

Munchies and light refreshments are always available and we have a wide range of revision guides, textbooks, question banks and other resources. Whilst there should be access to a PC for CD-based study, please note that availability is NEVER guaranteed, nor can it be booked!

When will it run the Module and Training Days?
During term-time, we will run up to 2 modules on each of three weekday evenings, and up to 4 at the weekend, on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Extended workshops and additional modules will be run during Half Term, Bank Holidays and School Holidays. We plan to schedule in more modules as demand increases - when you join, we will ask you to fill out a form telling us what you need and when you can come! We will try hard to schedule around your preferences.

In previous years, we believe we are the only organisation running every day, straight through Study Leave - just when you really need hands-on support.

Training days (or half days) will be run at regular intervals to cover specific topics during the weekends and during Half Term and School Holidays. Club members will get priority booking on these, together with a discount.

How will a module be run?
We aim to run informal, comfortable groups, with tea, coffee and biscuits/other munchies. It is assumed that you will already have covered the topic at school or college, so the first part will be spent reviewing the topic and highlighting the key areas. The second part may be devoted to question practice, or writing revision summaries. There will always be time set aside for questions.

What do you expect of me?
Please be on time!! The first 5 minutes are crucial ones!

Please read through the topic before you arrive. We can move forward far more quickly which leaves more time for question practice.

Try and prepare any questions before the workshop if you can, although you are bound to think of others during the module, which is fine!

How crowded will it be?
There will never be no more than 6 (less for AS/A Level) students at each module and 8 students at each workshop. Booking your place is very important!

If there is a big demand for a particular module, we will simply repeat it! We will never cram extra students into an existing fixture.

Is there a limit to the number of modules I can come to?
Once you have paid your membership fee, there is no limit to the number of modules you can enter - modules are booked and paid for in advance (we have 'prepayment cards' of different values) - all you need to bring on the day are your notebook and membership card.

Our location - where will the modules be running?
The modules will generally be run in Mill Hill, London NW7 - we may occasionally use other venues. The Web site will be updated regularly so you can see what's going on.
